Welding engineering is one of the important sub items in the production and installation of steel structures. Supervising engineers need to be involved in various aspects such as preparation, welding process, and finished product inspection, in order to effectively control the quality of welding engineering.
There are many welding quality problems in manual welds, including weld bead, slag inclusion, porosity, incomplete penetration, undercutting, misalignment, large deviation in weld size, no need for arc starting plate, uncorrected welding deformation, and incomplete cleaning of spatter.
Given this situation, the supervising engineer needs to do the following tasks:
(1) Check the factory quality certificate of welding raw materials;
(2) Check the welder's work permit;
(3) Supervise the necessary welding process tests;
(4) Strengthen inspection and supervision during the welding process to ensure the implementation of various technical measures;
(5) Strictly conduct visual inspection of weld quality and actual measurement of weld size;
(6) Supervise the non-destructive testing work.
